LAUNDRY FACILITIES

The laundry facility is located at: 1 Mgezo Street, Odanak (QC) J0G 1H0.

The laundry facility is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Usage is at your own expense and payable in cash only (coins).

ECO-CENTRE

Use of the Odanak Eco-centre is reserved for Odanak residents. Institutions, businesses, industries, and contractors are not authorized to use the eco-centre.
Certain exceptions may be granted and must be discussed in advance with the eco-centre manager or Band Council General Management.
The eco-centre is located at 2035 Tolba Street, Odanak, J0G 1H0. Using a GPS may lead you to an incorrect route, so please follow the directions below. From Route 132, take Asban Street (rang Saint-Joseph) when heading east, or turn right 100 m after Dépan-O-Gaz Nimôwon when heading west. Continue for 800 m on Asban Street, then turn left onto Tolba Street. The eco-centre entrance is located at the end of Tolba Street.

The eco-centre is open from May to November and closes once snow accumulates on the ground. Opening hours and the list of statutory holidays are available here: view the schedule.

POST-SECONDARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

To be eligible, the student must meet all of the following criteria:

*For students obtaining Indian Status during the school year, funding begins on the official registration date with Indigenous Services Canada. Funding is not retroactive prior to status recognition for allowances, books, or tuition fees.

You must submit your action plan, the post-secondary financial assistance application form, contract, proxy-authorization, and all documents listed in the checklist.

The Odanak Citizenship Code was adopted by members and determines eligibility for membership. It promotes unity, cultural integrity, and social harmony among the Abenaki of Odanak.

INDIVIDUAL SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship program aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits – physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional. The Abenaki of Odanak Band Council offers financial assistance of up to $1,500 per member, subject to eligibility and available budget.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be a member of the Abenaki of Odanak
  • Promote healthy lifestyle habits through sport
  • Submit a complete application form (including registration receipt, instructor proof, and declaration of practice from the member, parent, or guardian) within prescribed timelines
  • Be under 18 years of age
  • Participate in organized amateur sports programs such as Quebec student sports networks (RSÉQ) and/or federated leagues

Proof of registration (registration receipt, instructor confirmation, or declaration of practice).

There is no deadline.

A response is generally provided within approximately two weeks after the application is received.
